Mycelium color : green, dark grey in the centre, reddish-brown pigmentation.
Conidia : Free, solitary, smooth, brown. Numerous transverse septa.
Size: 26 - 135 x 1 - 29 μm.
Size of apical filament: 72 - 182 μm.
This long apical filament can branch.
Typical symptoms induced by Alternaria dauci on carrot :
For seeds : lack of emergence.
Seedlings : small brownish spots with yellow halos on leaves, drying of cotyledons and stems.
