Description
Top plate has a naturally infected wheat seed with typical sparse or powdery mycelium growth, whitish pink with a darker pink/purple center. Bottom plate shows the control culture. Only microconidia are produced, and typically in clumps. Macroconidia and chlamydospores are absent.
