Description

Although seed treatments should inhibit most fungal growth, this can be untrue when applied incorrectly. The indicated seed (yellow arrow) shows typical blackleg infection symptoms (silvery loose hyphae and pink ooze from black pycnidia), and was confirmed by PCR to be P. big.
